Mar Egeo

                                Mar Egeo

The Aegean Sea is the part of the Mediterranean Sea between Greece and Turkey.
It is considered that this sea is bounded to the south by the island of Crete and Rhodes. By the arbitrariness of its "limit" south, it is difficult to attribute an exact surface. A very approximate value would be 180 000 km2. From north to south its maximum length is 600 km, and from east to west is 400 km.
Almost all of the many Aegean islands belong to Greece.
